I did not know what was going on until about 10:30am. I was checking my email from the school board. Then I read the email- that said because of the events that are going on in New York- parents can check out their children if they want. I was puzzled from the email. Then our class went to lunch. There were many teachers upset(Many of our teachers are from New York, Boston, and Pennsylvania). The teachers from my team told me what was happening.I went back to my classroom to watch the news. What I saw on television was undescribable. I saw the recap of planes crashing into the twin towers. I wondered how am I going to explain this to seven year olds. The rest of the day went by in a blur. When I made it home I tried calling my family in Michigan,Maryland, and New York. I was able to get through to all except for a cousin in New York. After watching the news for the remainder of the evening, I decided the next day I would discuss with my class the events of September 11, 2001. Late that evening I received word from my mother, that my cousin from New York was okay. I said a prayer of thanks to God. For he had giving me the strength to go on. Then I went to bed.
