Title A name given to the resource September 11 Digital Archive Stories Description An account of the resource This collection is the bulk of the archive, representing the reactions and experiences of thousands of individuals beginning in 2002. 911DA Story 911DA Story: Story Tell us about what you did, saw, or heard on September 11th. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was in my second period class, Theater Arts I, and we were getting ready for our Pantomimes. We all were listening to the radio to find music for the pantomimes, and the new came on the radio that the second plane had already hit the second building of the World Trade Center. Then they said that the second building fell first, next the first one came down. I remember everyone getting hysterical on the radio, first I thought that it really didn't happen. Because I never thought that anyone would do such a thing to innocent people, but someone did. We went on like a normal day, except a few people went home to be with their families. I went to fourth period, Language Arts, and she was watching the buildings come down again. My teacher was crying because one of her students brother died. We watched the news the whole hour and a half we were in class. I was upset because I couldn't think anyone would be that cruel. I was sad for the people who lost loved ones. I was happy that I am still alive. Since that day my life has really changed emotionally. I never thought that someone would try to hurt us that much. I always thought that the world couldn't get worse, but it did. Things that happen like that really put your life in perspective, even when you are young. It really makes you think what kinds of decisions to make in the future, and the decisions you make now. It effects everything and everyone around you. I don't think anyone can describe the pain they went through that day of the eleventh. It was a horrible day to all of us, and it will remain in our minds for years to come. I don't think any of us will get over it, we will just learn to live with the pain of losing loved ones. You just kind of becomes a part of everyday life, learning to deal with the loss, the pain, the shock.
