Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was on my way into the office when a co-worker, Scott, asked if I heard that a plane had hit the World Trade Center. I stated I had not heard and proceeded to go to my office and turn on my computer, because my thoughts were that some small plane had just scraped the side of the building. When I went into our break room to get coffee about 5 minutes later, I was in complete shock and dismay as I saw on TV what had really happened. I began to cry, and one of my co-workers asked if I had friends or family there. I thought her question was strange because of what had happened, but I realized later that the full impact of what had happened had not hit her yet.We all went home early, and I called friends, relatives, watched TV, and cried off and on. It was the first time that I did not feel safe in this wonderful country. I was so sad that so many people were hurt or killed, but I was so grateful for the people who also gave and or risked their lives so that others could live. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
