Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was walking through the lobby of the nursing home where I work when the news flashed the picture of the airplane crashing into the 1st Tower. Several of the elderly residents were there with me as we watched in shocked disbelief. We continued to watch and were horrified when the 2nd Tower was hit. None of us had family or friends in the Towers, yet we felt great fear and sadness for the thousands of people we knew were in harms way. As the scenes kept flashing across the televison screen I just kept thinking how could so many people bare such heart breaking loss. I wondered what kind of person could do such a thing. I felt anger and wanted the person responsible to suffer greatly. Though it has been almost a year I find it no easier to accept that we were attacked on our own shores or that so many lives were lost. I pray for strength and peace for those who lost loved ones, friends, and co-workers.
