Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was home when I turned on the news. I thought it was just a fire at first. My husband and I watched as the day went on. I couldn't call family and friends because the phones were overloaded. I also have family in New York that I worried about( they were all fine.). My oldest daughter was in school and I wondered whether to pick her up early. My husband is a railroad engineer who works in Philadelphia. We didn't know if Philly was going to be a target, but he went to work that night. He knew in his small way he could help people get back home to their families ( his train meets the one coming from NY in New Jersey). I was also pregnant at the time and had a baby girl six weeks later. I can't help but think at times what a different world she was born into. My kindergarten daughter talked about heroes in school today(9/11/02). That's what everyone in this country is, those that died, those that survived to carry on, those that helped, and everyone who stands behind the fight for our way of life.
