911DA Story: Story

I was at work that morning. I received a phone call from my oldest son telling me what had happened. I hung up, called my husband. I was very scared and wanted to go home to be with my family. I couldn't leave work. My son called several times saying he couldn't believe what was happening. When I got home I was watching T.V. with my husband and started to cry. I cried off and on for months after the attack. He held me very tight. I found a new appreciation for all the simple things in life. I am so sad for the victims and the family and friends left behind. The workers at Ground Zero are all heros to me. They have my utmost respect.I am affraid that there will be another attack. I hope I'm with my family if it happens. I just wish we could have a kinder, gentler world.
