911DA Story: Story
I had just left work due to a head cold. I had heard about the crash before I left but did not really see what was happening until I got home.
I had gotten home and went to lay down and turned on the tv and saw the horror. The first plane had crashed then we saw the second. My husband was home as were my parents with us. We just watched in awe.
My husband had left the room when the towers had began to fall. I yelled for my husband to come back to the room and we watched as the towers fell to the ground. I remember that they kept showing it over and over.
We heard about the other two crashes and it was just like something you might see or hear from a movie. We watched tv all day because I feel we as well as others were waiting for more. We did not know how much more they were going to do.
The next few nights were very tense as we live by an airport and at night there were several planes that were flying very low and it would wake us up and cause us to look out just to make sure everything is ok.
This has built a bigger faith in me and my family. We are already christians but sometimes we loose sight of the fact that God does exist in this world and even though it was Saten's work of what happened that day, it is God who will see us through if we have a dedicated faith in him.
September 11, 2002 was a pretty quiet day for us but I believe everyone is on their own alert and feeling a little tense this week but we will see this though!!
