911DA Story: Story
I Heard Of This Terrible Tradgedy Via Radio. I Immediately Called My Mother Who WAs Working In Charlotte That Day. I Just Couldn't Believe What I Was Hearing! MY Mother (Cassie Westfall) and I (Christina Stephens) Exchanged Our Heart Felt Feelings About The First Plane That Crashed Into The World Trade Centers. As WE Talked, I Remember Her Expressing To Me That She Wanted Me To Get Home Where I Would Be Safe As She Was Doing The Same. I Told Her I Would, Just As We Heard That The Second Plane Had Too Struck The World Trade Centers. I Still Can't Express The Pain I Felt And The Confusion I Found In My Mind, Wondering What Possibly Could Be Going On! My Daughter, Ashley Stephens, Then In The Sixth Grade, Was At School And I Was On My WAy To Get Her Home Also. I Stopped At A Convience Store On The Way, To Have My Eyes Filled With The Most Horable Scene That No One Had Ever Expected. I Thought With Sadness And Anger As I Heard Of The Schools In The State Closing. I Went Home, Turned On The TV To Watch It Again and Again. I Cried For All Those Who Were So Brave And For Those Who Never Saw It Coming, Those Precious Lives, Who Didn't Have A Chance. I Pray That We Keep A Strong, Poised President And Country, That Will Not Give In Until We As Humans Put An End To Those Responsible. I Pray That, God Bless America, May He Keep A Protective Hedge About Our Country, Our People And The Ones Who Stand With Us Against Terrorism. May God Bless The Families Of Those Who Lost Their Precious Loved Ones, And May He Keep Them Strong. AMEN
