911DA Story: Story
The day that September 11th happened, I didn?t actually think it would change my life, I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember sitting in my 8th social studies class right before the bell rang. The very moment that I was struck with the worst case of the butterflies, my friend walked in and said? a plane just crashed into the pentagon." A second later, there was an announcement that TWO planes had hit the two world trade centers. Thinking about all the possibilities of what could have happened, I couldn?t come up with a logical explanation. Finally after class, I snuck out of my homeroom and ran down the hall with all of my friends to the nearest TV. There I saw people crying, and people standing there in shock and confusion. I looked on the TV, and all I could see were these two buildings that at the time I didn?t even know very much about, yet, as I stood there, were making the biggest change in a America at the time. I looked to my left and saw a senior crying, and said that her mom should have been on one of those planes, at that moment I knew this was not a mistake...
I didn?t realize what kind of impact the September 11th tragedy could have on my life until today.
